Caribbean Marina Rates by Boat Size: What You’ll Actually Pay Per Night

A 45-foot monohull pays between US$161 and US$338 for five nights at an Eastern Caribbean marina, before electricity and water. Martinique is cheapest at about US$161. Port Zante Marina in St. Kitts charges US$225 with no tax added. Antigua’s Jolly Harbour comes to US$326 and Sint Maarten’s Lagoon Marina US$338. Catamarans pay 50 to 100 per cent more.

- Port Zante Marina: Catamarans to roughly 25ft beam can be accommodated at Port Zante, in the catamaran slip or alongside the pier, subject to dates and availability. Most slips have 18ft pile-to-pile spacing, so all berths are confirmed by enquiry.
- Lagoon Marina: Lagoon Marina sells low season (1 Jun – 31 Oct) by the month only, at $15.00/ft monohull and $22.00/ft multihull. There is no nightly low-season rate.
- Marina du Marin: Le Marin figures are the 2024 season tariff, the most recent published. Their site was under maintenance when checked.
- Clarkes Court Boatyard & Marina: Clarkes Court in-water berthing has no seasonal split. Their 1 Apr / 1 Dec seasons apply to dry storage only. It is not a Grenada port of entry.

Four of the nine marinas here publish no rates at all. Nanny Cay, Rodney Bay, Port Louis and Nelson’s Dockyard all quote on request. That is their right, and it is worth knowing before you plan a season, because it means you cannot budget those stops without writing to them first.
We publish ours. So do Jolly Harbour, Lagoon Marina, Le Marin and Clarkes Court, and every figure in the first table links to the page it came from with the date we checked it.
What you’ll pay, by boat size

Why two boats the same length pay different amounts
Two 45-footers can leave the same dock with bills $200 apart. Here is what moves the number.
Length bands, not smooth scales. Le Marin charges EUR 0.60 a foot up to 50 feet, EUR 0.70 from 51 to 65, and EUR 0.80 from 66 to 100. Cross a band by a foot and the whole boat reprices at the higher rate.
Our own step at 40 feet. Under 40 we charge $0.75 a foot. At 40 and over it is $1.00. A 39-foot boat pays $29.25 a night. A 40-foot boat pays $40.00. If you are within a foot of the line, it is worth measuring rather than guessing, and worth knowing that LOA usually means the box your boat fits into, sprit and davits included.
The multihull premium, which varies more than you’d expect. Le Marin adds 50 per cent to any rate for a multihull. Clarkes Court charges $1.73 against $1.16. Jolly Harbour goes from $1.45 to $2.45 in winter, a 69 per cent step. We charge $1.50 against $1.00, so our premium is the steepest in percentage terms and still lands second cheapest in dollars.
Stern-to versus alongside. This one catches people out. Jolly Harbour doubles the monohull rate for an alongside berth. Lagoon Marina rafts boats by default and charges 1.5 times standard if you want to lie alone. A quoted per-foot rate usually assumes you are stern-to with everyone else.
Season. Jolly Harbour’s winter rate runs 16 per cent above summer, 1 November to 31 May. Lagoon shifts to monthly-only pricing from 1 June. Our rate is the same every day of the year.
Tax, which nobody states the same way. Le Marin includes 8.5 per cent VAT and adds a EUR 0.66 nightly tourist tax. Lagoon includes 5 per cent. Jolly Harbour says rates are subject to government taxes without publishing the amount, so their real cost sits above the number on their page. Clarkes Court says nothing. We add nothing: the rate you see is the rate you pay.
First nights. Le Marin charges 20 per cent extra for your first two nights. A two-night stop and a two-week stop have different effective rates there.
Long-stay tiers. Seven nights at Jolly Harbour bills at $1.25 a foot rather than $1.45. Thirty nights drops to $1.10. The calculator above picks the cheapest tier your stay qualifies for and tells you which one it used.
What a marina stop actually costs
The per-foot rate is the part you can compare in a spreadsheet. The rest of it decides whether the stop was worth making.
| Port Zante | Jolly Harbour | Lagoon | Le Marin | Clarkes Court | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Provisioning | 1-2 min walk, several | On site | 22 min walk | 100 m | Not walkable |
| Getting there | walk | walk | walk | walk | EC$80 taxi each way |
| Customs and immigration | Both on site | On site | 2.1 km away | On site | Not a port of entry |
| Fuel dock | Yes, 06:00-18:00 | Yes | No | Yes | No |
| Chandlery | 15-20 min walk | On site | Adjacent | Three on site | On site |
| Laundry | Drop-off | On site | On site | On site | On site |
| Town | On the waterfront | On-site village | Not established | Surrounds the marina | St George’s, by taxi |
Clarkes Court costs $261 for our 45-footer against our $225, and it is not a Grenadian port of entry, has no fuel dock, and sits an EC$80 taxi each way from anywhere. It earns its reputation as a long-stay and hurricane-season base rather than a stop.
Lagoon Marina is $338 and clearing in means a separate trip to the Simpson Bay Bridge. One cruiser puts the full clearance bill near US$87 for a week on a 45-footer, on top of the berth.
Jolly Harbour is the easiest stop of the five. Supermarket, customs, fuel, chandlery, laundry, a bank and a pharmacy all sit inside the marina village. You pay $326 for that, a 45 per cent premium over us, and we match most of it by sitting in the middle of Basseterre instead of building a village around ourselves.
Le Marin beats us on both counts, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. About $161 for the same five nights, an Auchan 100 metres from the pier, clearance at Ponton 3, fuel on site, three chandleries and a launderette. It is the cheapest and the most convenient marina in this comparison. It is also 200 miles south of us, which is either a detour or exactly where you were going.
Our honest claim is narrower and it holds: of the marinas in the northern Leewards, Port Zante is the only one that is both in a town centre and a port of entry, at the lowest published rate. Our weak spot is the chandlery, a 15 to 20 minute walk or a three minute drive, where Jolly Harbour and Le Marin have one at the end of the dock.

| 40 ft and over | US$1.00 per foot per night |
| Catamarans | US$1.50 per foot per night |

| Water | US$0.10 per gallon |
| Tax | None. The rate you see is the rate you pay. |
| Season | Same rate all year |
| Berths | 36 |
|---|---|
| Max LOA | 65 ft |
| Max draft | 12 ft, tide dependent |
| Max beam | About 25 ft |
| Berth type | Stern-to or alongside, subject to availability, same price |
Most slips run 18 feet between piles. Catamarans to roughly 25 feet in the beam go in the catamaran slip or alongside the pier, and both depend on your dates. Every berth here is confirmed by enquiry rather than sold off a shelf, so tell us your length, beam, draft and dates and we will tell you what we have.
Customs and immigration are both inside the marina. Fuel runs 06:00 to 18:00. Supermarkets, pharmacies and print shops are one to two minutes on foot, because the marina is in Basseterre rather than outside it.

How we put this together
We took every rate from the marina’s own published card, and each row in the first table links to the page we read with the date we read it. Where a marina publishes nothing, we say so and link to their enquiry form rather than repeating a figure from a cruising forum.
Totals cover the berth charge, tax where it is knowable, and fixed nightly fees such as Le Marin’s tourist tax. They exclude electricity and water, which depend on what you use. Metered power varies more than most people expect: EUR 0.36 a kWh at Le Marin, $0.50 with us, and $0.85 to $1.05 at Jolly Harbour.
Euro figures convert at 1.08, taken on 6 August 2026, and we show the euro price alongside so you can apply your own rate.
Rates change. Ours were confirmed on 7 August 2026 and the others on 6 August 2026. Le Marin’s is their 2024 season tariff, the most recent they have published, and their site was down for maintenance when we checked. If you find a rate here that has moved, tell us and we will fix it.
Questions we get asked
Which is the cheapest marina in the Eastern Caribbean? Marina du Marin at Le Marin, Martinique. About EUR 0.60 a foot a night for a boat under 50 feet, VAT included. Nothing in this comparison is close, and a marina rates page published by another marina should say that plainly.
How much does it cost to dock a 40-foot sailboat in the Caribbean? Between about $144 and $300 for five nights in high season, depending where you stop. With us, $200. See the 40-foot table above for the full spread.
Are Caribbean marinas cheaper in summer? At some. Jolly Harbour drops from $1.45 to $1.25 a foot from 1 June. Lagoon Marina switches to monthly-only pricing and stops selling nights. Le Marin, Clarkes Court and Port Zante charge the same all year. Summer is hurricane season, which is a bigger factor in where you stop than the rate is.
Do catamarans pay more at Caribbean marinas? Everywhere in this comparison, and the premium ranges from 50 per cent at Le Marin to 100 per cent with us. Beam is the reason: a catamaran occupies the water two monohulls would. Check beam limits as well as price, because a rate you cannot physically use is not a rate.
Is it cheaper to anchor than dock in the Caribbean? Yes, and that is the wrong comparison for most stops. You dock to clear in, take on fuel and water, run laundry, provision properly, sleep through a swell or leave the boat safely. Price the night against what the stop is for.
What is a per-foot rate? Your length overall multiplied by the marina’s rate multiplied by nights. A 40-footer at $1.00 a foot pays $40 a night. LOA usually means the box your boat would fit into, so bowsprits, anchors and davits count.
